The OHIO-India MBA Program is predominantly taught by OHIO University faculty from the College of Business, who are the flagship of the Program. They have global exposure and experience. While stimulating the quest for knowledge, they enable a participative learning through projects, case studies, research, analysis, etc. 80% of the Faculty at the CoB at OHIO University hold Doctoral and Jurist Doctoral degrees. They have taught in developed and developing economies of Europe, China, Brazil, USA, India, Bangladesh and Malaysia. These professors are skilled at analyzing and discussing business issues in a cross-cultural context.
 
Dr. Aaron Kelley has received his PhD in Management/Organizational Theory and Policy from the University of North Texas in 1979. He is an MBA from University of Utah. His research interests are in the areas of Strategy, Strategic Thinking, Small Business, Management, Continuous Improvement, vetc. An accomplished management consultant, he has wide experience in Sales Management, Retail Management, Higher Education Management.
 

 
Dr. Amalendu Jyotishi has a PhD degree in Economics from Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore through the Bangalore University. At OHIO University-Christ College Academy he teaches Financial Market Analysis and provides academic guidance to the students in their Internship, Applied Research Projects and Joint Students Consulting Projects (JSCP). He had been to PECS University, Hungary, as a project guide of the students who were involved in JSCP. Prior to joining this Academy, he worked in various social sciences research institutes including Gujarat Institute of Development Research. He taught Environmental Economics at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. His research interests cover a wide range of issues relating to institutional economics aspects of agribusiness, water markets, forestry, inland fisheries and livelihood issues in varied ecosystems. He has published his research ideas in journals, edited volumes and working papers. He has also contributed to a digital documentary on National Parks issues and debates. He is one of the core research members of ‘Asian Initiative on Legal Pluralism’ that primarily focuses on customary and folk laws relating to indigenous people’s rights.
 

 

Dr. Amy Taylor-Bianco received her PhD from Columbia University in 2000. Before beginning her academic career, she provided international tax and compensation consulting for Price Waterhouse, J.P. Morgan, Pepsi Co. International, and Citibank and MasterCard International. Professor Taylor-Bianco is currently engaged in research investigating how people cope with organizational change, the effects of motivation and organizational fit between individuals and organizations and the effects of vision and mission statements on company strategy and performance. As an assistant professor in OHIO University’s Management Department, she teaches MBA courses in organizational behavior and change

 

 
Dr. Andrew Prevost is a PhD in Economics from Wayne State University (1989). His research interests are in corporate governance and control and other empirical corporate finance areas. His articles have been published in such journals as the Journal of Business, Journal of Empirical Finance, Pacific Basin Finance Journal and The Financial Review. His teaching interests are in the areas of institutions and markets, investments, corporate finance and managerial economics. His previous academic positions include Concordia University (Montreal) and Massey University (New Zealand).
 

 
Dr. Christine A. Yost has served in various teaching and administrative positions at OHIO University since 1986. She has taught in the OHIO University Corporate MBA program at Tenaga Nasional Berhand, the MBA program at the MARA Institute of Technology, and Indiana University (IUPUI) undergraduate engineering program at IKATAN. Her BBA in human resource management, MBA focusing in labor relations, and PhD in organizational communication were earned at OHIO University. Publications include numerous case studies of union-management partnerships, the effects of intimate relationships in the workplace, and the instruction of management communication competencies. Teaching areas include business communication and quantitative business analysis.
 

 
Dr. David Kirch is a certified Public Accountant and has taught at OHIO University for over 10 years. He has won many teaching awards. He received his PhD from Penn State University (accounting) in 1989. Prior to returning to teach, he worked in public accounting for thirteen years. He has worked with both Big Five and local CPA firms. He was the managing partner of a local firm which consisted of three partners and a professional staff of nine. Professor Kirch obtained his BBA and MBA from OHIO University. Before joining the faculty at OHIO University, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Kent State University for six years.
 

 

Dr. Dawn Deeter is Chair and Associate Professor of Marketing at OHIO University. She earned her BS in Clothing and Textiles from Morehead State University and MBA and PhD in Marketing from the University of South Florida. Prior to earning her doctorate, she spent 10 years working in the shoe industry, first as a department manager of children’s shoes and later as a retail buyer of children’s, men’s and athletic shoes for several department store chains. She has experience teaching a number of marketing courses, including personal selling, business to business marketing, services marketing, consumer behavior, retail management, and principles of marketing. Her research interests include customer service teams, sales management and buyer-seller relationships, and scale development. She has published in the Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Business Logistics, and Journal of Travel Research, among others.

 

 
Dr. Edward B. Yost is the Director of Graduate and Executive Education at the OHIO University’s College of Business. He holds a BA in industrial management and an MBA from the University of Akron. He earned his PhD at OHIO State University. Prior to joining OHIO University, he taught at OHIO State University and Franklin University. His professional interests include executive and management development, strategic human resource management, global human resource management, and competitive strategy. He has been a consultant to a number of public and private sector manufacturing and service organizations both in the USA and abroad. He designed a corporate MBA program for Tenaga National, the national electric cooperative of Malaysia, and spent three years in Kuala Lumpur as coordinator. His publications include textbooks and journal articles as well as experiential learning exercises and personality inventories.
 

 
Dr. Ellsworth Holden is a certified Public Accountant who received his bachelor's degree from OHIO University and master's from Harvard. During his thirty-year career at OHIO University, he has taught a broad array of courses in the fields of information systems, accounting, quantitative business analysis and entrepreneurship. Holden served for four years as coordinator of OHIO University's BBA and MBA programs at MARA Institute of Technology in Malaysia. Holden is chairman of the board of trustees of nearby Hocking College.
 

 
Dr. Faizul Huq is a Freeman Professor of Operations Management and Director of CIBED at OHIO University. Dr. Huq’s teaching interests include a variety of production and operations management courses, management science, and logistics. His research interests are in Simulation, Decision Analysis, Mathematical Programming, and Statistics. He has published articles in the areas of Scheduling for Job Shops, Cellular Manufacturing environments and flexible manufacturing systems. Additional research includes Agile manufacturing, Concurrent Engineering, Just-in-Time Manufacturing, Health Care Operations, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
 

 
Dr. Felicia N. Morgan is the Assistant Professor and is a PhD in Marketing from Arizona State University (2004). She holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans and her research interests are in services marketing and management, services branding, service networks, marketing communication, customer experience management. Her professional experience spans over 10 years in marketing management and finance within the services sector. She also enjoyed an early career as a professional musician.
 

 
Dr. Hugh D. Sherman was associate professor of policy/strategy in the College of Business at OHIO University. He received his PhD from Temple University in strategic management and international business. His research interests include strategic change, corporate governance and entrepreneurship. He has published articles on the role of firm institutional owners and the board of directors in implementing strategic change. He is currently completing a book on factors that affect the speed at which major corporations institute comprehensive strategic change. Before coming to OHIO University, Sherman had founded and directed International Footwear which included six factory outlet shoe stores and an import business. He was also the Vice President of Marketing for SMH Corporation, a large Swiss watch and electronics manufacturer. In this position he was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for a $50 million sales division.
 

 

Dr. James S. Cox is a long-time Associate Professor of Accountancy at OHIO University. He earned his baccalaureate degree (Chemistry) from Denison University, his MBA (accounting, finance and economics) from the University of Chicago, and his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh (accounting). He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute and OHIO Society of CPAs. During his career at OHIO University, Professor Cox has taught widely in the accounting area. In recent years, he has concentrated on income taxation and managerial accounting. Professor Cox has served the University's programs both in Africa and Asia. For nearly twenty years, Professor Cox was the principal administrator of the College's original "twinning" program with the MARA Institute of Technology in Malaysia.

 

 

Dr. John L. Keifer is a cum laude graduate of OHIO State University where he majored in economics. He also holds an MBA degree from OHIO University and Jurist Doctor degree from the University of Virginia. Before joining OHIO University, he practiced for nearly twenty years during which time he represented the interests of commercial firms in the banking and savings and loan industries and the fast-food franchise industry among others. Since joining OHIO University, he has co-developed the Corporate MBA program with a fellow faculty member that was implemented for Tenaga National Berhand, the Malaysian electric company, and teaches in the areas of strategy, international business and comparative management. He has done research in the areas of competitive strategy, organizational development and configuration, and corporate renewal strategies.

 

 

Dr. John R. Schermerhorn Jr. joined OHIO University in 1989 as the Charles G. O’Bleness Professor of Management. He received his PhD from Northwestern University and an MBA with distinction from New York University. He is the author or co-author of many scholarly articles and four books: Management, Managing Organizational Behavior, Basic Organizational Behavior, and Management and Organizational Behavior Essentials. His teaching and consulting in management and organizational development focus on human resources strategies for productivity improvement. He has conducted training programs for firms in the United States and other parts of the world. Before joining the faculty at OHIO University, he taught at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he also served as head of the Department of Management and associate dean of the College of Business Administration.

 

 

Dr. Ken Cutright is the Chair, Management Systems Department and also Associate Professor of Management Systems. A PhD in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University he holds a MS in Mathematics from the same University. His research interests are in simulation software, innovative teaching methods and he has extensive consulting experience.

 

 

Dr. Nanda Rangan joined OHIO University in 1995, and holds the distinguished Charles E. O'Bleness Chair in Banking and Finance. He chairs the Finance Department and is the Executive Director of International Operations. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Madras and his MS and PhD from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining OHIO University, he served as chair of the finance department at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has published extensively in leading finance and economics journals. His teaching, research, and consulting interests include corporate finance, financial institutions, financial markets, and public policy. He is the recipient of several awards for excellence in teaching and research and serves on the editorial boards of three journals.

 

 

Dr. Rajesh P. Narayanan is an Associate professor in the Department of Finance in the College of Business at OHIO University. He holds the Gardner Fellowship in Finance. Dr. Narayanan teaches in the areas of corporate finance and financial markets. His current research interests are at the intersection of corporate finance and financial intermediation. He obtained his PhD degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Prior to joining OHIO University, he served as an Assistant Professor at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Narayanan has also been a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

 

 

Dr. Robert Sarikas “Zeke” is an Associate Professor of Accountancy at OHIO University. He did his PhD in Accountancy and Taxation in 1992 from University of Illinois. He is also MAS from University of Illinois and MPA from University of Texas. His research interests are in the fields of International Accounting, Taxation and Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant with experience as a tax professional working for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Houston, Texas and an oil and gas specialty accounting firm (Thomas Leger & Co.) in Houston, Texas. Dr. Sarikas is a visiting Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Boise State University, the University of Texas and Loyola University of Chicago. His overseas teaching assignments include China, England, India, Russia, and Vietnam. Apart from that, he has had consulting assignments in financial accounting, management accounting, and taxation in Russia, the United States and Vietnam. He also served as an Air Force Officer in an ICBM unit of the Strategic Air Command.

 

 

Prof. Shivaprakash A. R. is a Fellow of National Institute of Bank Management, Pune. He is the Director of the OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education and is specialized in the areas of Banking and Finance. While on the faculty of T.A. Pai Management Institute, he taught courses in Financial Services, Management of Banks and Financial Institutions. He has coordinated Management Development Programs for commercial bank managers and Faculty Development Programs for the Management Institutes. Currently, he teaches Corporate Finance, Financial Management and Statistics. He is the recipient of the ‘Award for Administrative Excellence’ by the OHIO University during 2002. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at the College of Business, OHIO University.

 

 

Dr. Ted Compton is Professor Emeritus of Management Information Systems Department at OHIO University. He did his PhD from the University of Cincinnati in 1980. He is an Accounting Major. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Systems Professional (CSP). His research interests include: Information systems and Managerial/Cost Accounting. He was appointed as the O'Bleness Professor of MIS beginning fall quarter 2001-2002. He has held positions with Cincinnati Milicron, Sperry Rand Corporation, and W.G. Seinshiemer and Associates, a Cincinnati-based consulting firm. He is the Author of a training manual on Activity-Based Costing which has been used at numerous CPE training sites throughout the United States.

 

 

Dr. Raghu Iyer is the Resident Director at OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education. He is a Senior Professor who teaches Statistics and is also currently directing the Placement efforts and external Corporate Relations. Dr. Iyer has a B.Sc in Statistics from Loyola College, Madras University and MBA (Marketing & Finance) from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. He has an additional MBA (Quantitative Management Sciences) from University of Houston, Texas, USA and a PhD in Decision and Information Sciences from University of Houston, Texas, USA. He has over 15 years corporate experience in many Fortune 500 companies in USA (AT&T, Bell Laboratories, Lucent, Philips, Aventis and Sanofi) and over 10 years teaching experience in leading Business Schools/Universities in USA (Rutgers Business School, Rutgers University, New Jersey and University of Houston). After serving in Infosys Technologies India IS organization in a senior management role, he joined OUCC Academy in June 2007.

 

 

Dr. Shalini Verma is one of the pioneer Body Language experts of India, Dr. Shalini Verma, is the Assistant Professor-Business Communication in OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education.

Her book ‘BODY LANGUAGE: YOUR SUCCESS MANTRA’ has received rave reviews on both national and international level. She did her PhD in Verbal & Non-Verbal Communication at the Indo-American Centre for International studies (IACIS), Hyderabad through Bihar University in 2002.

Dr Shalini Verma has Master’s Degree in three different areas viz. English Literature (1994), Human Rights (2003) and Journalism & Mass Communication (2006). Author of several books on Communication (Verbal and Non-Verbal) and soft skills, she is also a columnist with the Hindustan Times-a leading national daily.

Prior to joining OUCC, she was associated with Pollyanna Positive Parivartna, New Delhi as a Corporate Trainer-Communication & soft skills. She was also associated with Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI), New Delhi for about 5 years as Faculty-Business and Corporate Communication.

Dr Verma has a fourteen years of work experience of teaching/training courses in Communication, Soft Skills, Behavioral Issues, Corporate Etiquette and cultural Diversities. She has also worked on several research/consulting projects related to Leadership and Communication Management. Apart from conducting workshops/training programs for reputed MNCs, PSUs and educational Institutions she has also coordinated in the designing of various academic modules for ICSI, New Delhi.
 

 

Dr. Thomas G. Luce is Professor of Management Information Systems in the Management Information Systems Department at OHIO University. He is a PhD in Science Education from Purdue University (1976) and is a MS in Molecular Biology (Purdue University, 1971). His research interests are in MIS Education and the use of technology to improve business education, particularly the Web and eBusiness technologies. He has been a Professor in Biology in Midland College, Texas, Professor in Electronic Data Processing and Computer Information Systems in Odessa College and has been a visiting professor at the Institute Technology MARA (ITM) in Malaysia, and Chubu University in Japan. He is the On-site coordinator, OU-MBA programs in ITM.


 

Prof. Venkatesha Bhagavath is the Assistant Director of Academics in OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education. He has a Master’s Degree in Statistics and Operations Research (1997) with a gold medal. Throughout his academic life, he has been awarded with many merit awards and scholarship. Prior to joining OHIO University Christ College Academy, he was associated with Mangalore and Manipal (MAHE) University for about 8 years. He has a vast experience of teaching/training courses in Statistical Methods, Optimization Models, Research Methodology and Decision Analysis. He has also worked on several research/consulting projects related to Marketing Research and Optimization Model. He has also taught many Executive MBA courses via VSAT platform. In the capacity of Consultant (Academics) to Manipal Universal Learning, he has coordinated designing of various academic programs for Executive Education. His research interests include Efficiency Measurement by DEA Method, Time Series Analysis and Nonparametric Statistical Inference. He has presented papers in several conferences and many of his research papers have been published in Conference Proceedings and refereed journals.

 

 

Prof. Vic Matta is an Instructor at the Management Information Systems Department of OHIO University. An MS from College of Engineering at OHIO University, his research interests are in the areas of object oriented development, pervasive computing & RFID, database and web applications and internet systems development. He comes with a vast professional experience in the field and has published many articles in international journals on Neural Networks for 3D Protein Structure Prediction.
